I was a resident artist at Guanlan Original Printmaking Base, Guanlan, Bao’an District, Shenzhen, China from May 20 until June 30, 2017.
The air-conditioned studio is large and conducive to work, and each resident artist has a private studio on the mezzanine level.
The studio is situated in extensive gardens and surrounded by traditional hakka houses, now small galleries and workshops or accommodation for the resident artists.
The artists’ houses are just a few minutes walk from the studios.
The pathway to my beautiful hakka house.
I made one lithograph and two etchings while I was there. Drawing on the stone.
