Groundwork is a poetic interpretation, in text and watercolour, of the experience and heritage of growing and cooking one’s own food. I drew inspiration from gardener’s journals and cook’s scrapbooks to produce a work that masquerades as a domestic reference-book highlighting the sublime within the seemingly mundane.
